我們將於2016年12月3至4日(星期六及日)在西貢市中心舉辦第二屆藝墟－“藝聚西貢”。現誠邀大家屆時蒞臨美麗的“香港後花園”一起參與這項藝術盛事。
“藝聚西貢”
“藝聚西貢”是西貢區的街頭藝墟，由西貢區議會贊助，西貢民政事務處及西貢社區中心合辦，旨在推廣藝術及創作，希望透過提供這個特別的平台，讓藝術家得以在畫廊以外的公眾地方展示他們的作品，與市民大眾交流。上屆首次舉辦的“藝聚西貢”，有超過數十位來自不同藝術範疇的藝術家參與，並有超過3000多人次到來參觀或參與各項活動。我們預計今屆舉辦活動的兩日期間，會有超過5000人到訪。
今次，我們計劃邀請約60名或以上從事不同藝術範疇的藝術家參與這個藝墟，包括畫家、雕塑家、塗鴉藝術家、視覺藝術家、前衛藝術家、民間藝術家、手作工藝師等。希望透過這項活動向公眾展示不同媒介、物料、風格、技巧、概念、實用性及美感的藝術創作。我們也會邀請西貢區內的教育機構參與其中。
獲選參與的藝術家、藝術機構及教育機構會獲分配空間展示其作品，並透過示範及討論，與公眾人士互動交流。我們會劃出特定範圍，供藝術家進行大型的示範或表演，讓公眾一起參與，例如在牆上噴畫或在行人路上以粉筆繪畫。我們也會設立戶內及戶外(西貢海傍)畫展長廊，有興趣的藝術家可提供作品參展。我們會繼續一些新嘗試，包括在活動之前和活動期間由藝術家團隊或團體在西貢某些指定的街道或大廈外牆進行畫藝創作，讓他們展示其技巧，並為活動增添樂趣和色彩。此外，我們也會闢出空間舉辦工作坊。我們希望在香港美麗的後花園提供一個別開生面的平台，讓藝術創作者與公眾分享他們的觀點和故事。我們更希望透過這個非牟利活動，與香港市民及各藝術家一同出一分力，為推廣藝術注入新的動力。

We are delighted to announce Sai Kung's second art fair - “Sai Kung Art And About” - to be held on 3rd – 4th December 2016 (Sat & Sun) in Sai Kung town centre. We would like to invite you to join us in this celebration of art event at our beautiful "back garden of Hong Kong".
“Sai Kung Art And About”
Funded by the Sai Kung District Council, and co-organised by the Sai Kung District Office and the Sai Kung District Community Centre, “Sai Kung Art And About” is a street art fair designed to promote art and creativity by creating a platform for artists to present their work and interact with the general public. The first ever “Sai Kung Art And About” held last time attracted over 60 artists from a wide variety of art genres and over 3000 visitors to the two days’ event. This time, we expect over 5000 visitors in the two days.
We aim to invite about 60 artists or more from a wide variety of different art genres - such as painters, sculptors, graffiti artists, visual artists, avant-garde artists, folk artists, handicraft artists, etc., covering a whole gamut of mediums, materials, styles, techniques, concepts, and utilitarian and aesthetic purposes. Educational institutes from Sai Kung will also be invited to participate.
Artists, art organisations and educational institutes that are selected will be given space to display their work and to interact with the visiting public through demonstration and discussion. There will be areas designated for larger-scale demonstration/performance by artists where the public can also participate, like spray painting on walls or pastel drawing on pavements. An indoor and outdoor gallery walk for artists who wish to participate and produce pieces for will be set up. We will also do street art painting and decorating designated building walls in Sai Kung with graffiti creation by teams of artists or art groups before and during the event to showcase skills and techniques, making the event more interesting and colourful. We will also set up a stage area for workshops. We hope to provide an extraordinary platform in the beautiful back garden of Hong Kong for artists to share their points of view and stories with the public. We hope this not-for-profit event will stimulate the public and fellow artists and further the interest of the arts in Hong Kong.
